Understanding Endoscopist Perspectives on CADe in Colonoscopy Guidelines

Posted Saturday February 7, 2026

Dear colleague,

We are a group of researchers from the World Endoscopy Organization (WEO) exploring how evidence and recently published guidelines on computer-aided detection (CADe) in colonoscopy are being interpreted by endoscopists and applied in clinical practice.

Three major organisations have published CADe guidelines based on the same evidence base yet reached different conclusions. Through this short survey, we are keen to understand how endoscopists interpret this evidence, which outcomes they consider most important, and how this informs views on CADe adoption.

We believe this work will help shape a clearer understanding of how CADe should be evaluated and implemented in routine colonoscopy practice.

The survey will take around 5 minutes to complete.

Thank you very much for sharing your perspective.
