NZSG-Janssen Research Fellowship
Since 2014 the Society's premiere award presented at the Annual Scientific Meeting has been made possible with the support of Janssen Pharmaceuticals. In the past decade NZSG and Janssen have funded:

and our most recipient 2023 Dr Chris Varghese
for his research Digital biomarker enhanced patient selection for gastric per oral endoscopic myotomy – advancing a promising treatment for delayed gastric emptying with a novel gastric mapping device. Dr Varghese will be working from the University of Auckland while running his research project. We look forward to hearing his findings at the 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM).
Do you have a large research project you would like to have considered for the NZSG-Janssen Research Fellowship? With Janssen's support the joint funding of this fellowship is up to $65,000 NZD for one year. Recipients are expected to present their findings at the NZSG-NZgNC ASM.
