Jon I. Isenberg International Research Scholar Award
The AGA Institute's International Committee has opened applications to the Jon I. Isenberg International Research Scholar Award.
The Award offers for one year of study in the U.S.: $25,000 from the AGA Institute and $25,000 in matching funds from a U.S.-based laboratory or international GI society to the eligible "Young Investigator".

Introduction to Endoscopy Course. 18-19th June 2008.
Advanced Clinical Skills Centre, University of Auckland.
This 2-day course is designed for entry level endoscopists about to begin, or in their first year of either gastroenterogical or surgical training.
The course will cover the information and technical skills for learning basic gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
Course content:
• Endoscopic techniques
• Patient selection
• Sedation and monitoring
• Observation at Endoscopy Units
• Understanding the endoscope
• Endoscopy simulation training
Each course is limited to 8 participants on a “first come” basis. Registration is $900.00 inclusive of GST and includes a reference manual and lunch. Early completion and mailing of the registration form on the right side of this brochure ensures your place. Registration closes 19 May 2008.
